Well, summers here, and i'm dying under the heats of these new dreads.

What are some ways to cool off?

cheap hippie way a spray bottle with water spray yourself and it cools you off--cheap and effective

I'm in Florida....it is 105 today in the shade. I've gotten used to it and not bothered by it anymore (although heat makes my head itch...?) but I get cold at temperatures lower than 80..

    (104F= 40C....80F=26C)

My head gets a bit itchy when i'm really hot, or also when something crazy happens and I get all shaken up. must be the sweat coming out of the scalp?

    pool? cold shower?

I remember stayin' with my cousins when I was a kid and they had no AC.... we used to go outside and play with the water hose... tons of fun... especially on a trampoline.

God mine too.. I forgot about the tendancy to get a heat/stress rash on the back of my neck.Effing humidity.

    I couldn't survive without AC.
I am not that sensi to cold though. Florida's little bit of yearly cold just sux extra hard because of that humidity making it wet cold.Dry cold is wonderful and comfy, just doesn't exist here.

Buy a Fan ASAP and lift ur Dreadies and let the breeze go under your hair and on ur head. I do this when im at the Club or a Rave Dancing. i get really hot and sweaty, then my scalp will itch like crazy..

I am in Oregon and its 100 in the shade. I drape a wet towel over myself and it works great, the dreads are still super hot though...

It's the coldest July in Indiana since 1900 last time I checked. We have had very few days above 90 which is really rare for these parts. I have used the AC in my house like a total of 2 weeks at the end of spring.

whatever...I love them temperate climates. I hate the cold, but man the extreme heat sucks too. It's good right where it's at IMO.

Put your hair up? That works for me. I fold a bandana until it's rectangular and tie it around as a headband. Keeps the hair out of my face and up off of my neck.
