Does anyone know the origin of the use of blotter paper as a drug medium? Were any drugs, conventional or otherwise, put on blotter before LSD? If not, who was the first to use blotter paper for an LSD medium?

I did some searching but I didn't find anything.

As far as I've been able to research, lsd was the first drug put on blotter paper. The few other drugs that are now also put on blotter weren't really known about or invented back then. As for who did it first, I don't know, but I did find this-

I heard that since it was in pill form before that, when a dealer or chemist was busted that they went by weight of the drugs (pills) to quantify the amount imposing a longer sentence for the said substance. So some enlightened chemist decided to keep it on blotter paper reducing the total weight and thereby reducing the charges and possible sentence.

    pretty smart of them, huh?
