That poem reads like it was written by a 5 year old. I don't like it because it doesn't stand out in any way, shape, or form.
when i read fight from kingdom i thought of the air corps. an airborne soldier climbing onto a plane for d-day or something.i may have missed the idea of the poem but i thought it was good....i think charge of the light brigade exemplifies what i felt the op was looking for.perhaps not i don't know.that's how literature is though.....i've always thought " harry wilmans" by edgar lee masters was one of the best poems from "spoon river anthology"....we spoke a little of robert service...born in england moved to canada at 21.ambulance driver and war correspodend in ww1.but i think his poem stories about the yukon gold rush was his best stuff....the ballad of the northern lights...a friend let me borrow the complete works of robert service so ive read everything by him.that was a fun read.
You've probably read 100000 times less poems than me, plus... you have shitty taste, so I don't think that you're qualified to make sure a value judgment.
While this one doesn't fit under the OP's war criteria. It seems to fit where this conversation has gone. And I'm looking forward to your scathing review BraveSirRubin. _________________ I Implore You If you have a friend and you wish to keep this friend no matter the reason whatever the lore however enticing with veracity I implore never ever EVER brush your hand along the underside of his coffee table ___________________ ~ JusSumguy eace: eace: eace: -

I never asked nor do I care how much poetry you've read. I'm not sure why you feel the need to tell me how much you've read. Gay. I didn't make any judgment. I complimented you and you took it the wrong way.
Get it right up your fat hair tits, You shagged out old soldier. Do you think i give a shit if you dead, I'm shagging your wife, And she's got great tits. I don't really know what else to say.
I didn't take it the wrong way, I just feel like you need to add more worth to your compliment. Right now it's like a blind man saying "you're pretty".
