in my opinion the pictures speak for themselves... its more than 150 dollars but definately worth it as his customer base and knowledge is very vast! They dont need re gluing every few months as I understand it! Ill look into natural locks though in the mean time most definately Thanks Blues
Or spend $200 at the salon and get your dreads done this way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3r...0DInOM6O9hPkG&resnum=&feature=player_embedded
Liz that would be an option... if duder wasn't working with a recently buzzed head. On a side note, I think that it's funny when people include unnecessary/nonsenseicle information in their question and then get upset that people address those issues more than their actual question... For chrisake you prefaced your question by saying that it was controversial and then when people address that controversy you get butthurt? It's the internet... of course you should do whatever the hell you want to, but expecting other people to love you for taking a turn down front street is pretty silly if you ask me... (which you didn't) Peace!
lol that made me laugh... i dont confuse my hair with who i am so dont take offense to anything anyone says. I have found my answers about the dreads being itchy to start with and that I can use all the usual products that anyone uses (or doesn't) with real dreadlocks so am happy and content with my travels. :cheers2:
save yourself some time and money. just buy a photoshop program and photoshop dreads into all your pictures. viola! instant dreadlocks
lol at "synthetic dreadlock journey" The only "journey" you need to take is the quick drive to the salon note: i didnt bother reading the thread
or I could get a dreadlock hat with the locks already in place, and for those hat off times the dreadlock wig. Having done some more research and I dont want to eat my own words though feel I am.. I see everyones point about the extensions looking a little too neat lol.. infact they look like normal long hair only thicker strands, it does look rather uniform! I may be willing to grow real locks though will do vein maintenance on them regularly. Has anyone seen the guys locks at dreadheadhq? The owner.. they are amazing, beautiful, neat and real lol! Still got a long way to go if i decide to have real ones mind... measured my hair yesterday and it is 4cm on top and 2cm on the sides..... haven't measured it today but cant see it being much more lol
we not supposed to mention DHHQ in its entirety for SEO reasons methinks and we have gone done posted it 3 times.
I think his dreads look bleughhhhhhh:ack2:bleaughghghhhhhhhh.he is gross.his hair looks like a wig and looks caked in wax.fuck, you have bad taste in dreads
His behaivour is questionable too. Makes it appear that only dickheads who can't string a sentence together get dreads. Have you seen his youtube vids? They'd put anyone off getting them. He gives dreads a bad rep. And his "employ me" template letter to give to your employees makes me lawl so much.
ok this is my last post on this topic. It seems that people are a little too judgemental on this topic. I thought this was a free and do what you will sort of vibe but have read it wrong. Ill stop wasting energy posting about dreadlocks, synthetic or real and make my own journey through... for the few comments that were helpful I thank those people... to the rest I think you need to have a look at your views and what your dreads stand for! Would you be annoyed if you lost your dreads tomorrow? Do you feel that they are a part of you and your ego induced image? If so then i feel nothing but sorrow and compassion for you! Peace and love Blues
What do you mean pypes? Unless it's a hyperlink that wouldn't matter... unless of course you are talking a different SEO.
To me they just look fake.... too perfect and with no personality... they look like those dread hats you get at novelty shops. I'm assuming he just backcombs the natural hair and then crochets in backcombed extensions to the ends of your real hair. They would be permanent and wouldn't cause any issues if they were done with human hair and the new growth would indeed dread, but like it said, they have no personality at all. They look bland and uninteresting, but if that's what you're going for, then by all means... personally, I hate rounded tips even on natural dreads. I like the look of loose pointy ends. So, in short... LAME
lol...pretty sure no one attacked you personally. You asked a bunch of people what they think about extensions that spend years without cutting and brushing our hair and we give you our opinion and we are automatically casting judgements. All those pics look like shit IMO...like fake nylon ropes attached to peoples hair. Just because we didn't give you the answer you wanted to here, doesn't mean we are judging it negatively. Go for it, spend ass loads of money if it's what you choose but know they aren't dreadlocks and don't look like dreadlocks to anyone that actually has them. Oh, and assuming you go this route, have fun with the hours and hours of maintenance...your arms are going to get sore, or you will have spend ridiculous amounts of money to have them maintained in order to make them look neat. If you let them go, you will what two weeks will do for the neat and tidy look. After all it's tangled, and matted hair...What else would you expect? :cheers2:
