Should I use both essential/ carrier oil (sapuyulo; a central american fruit seed oil) mix, and both of em in shampoo for dandruff? or just one of them? I already poured some in my shampoo so I guess theres no turning back for at least some ten more washes, but do you think I should oil my hair with the mix before shampooing too? I added 5 drops to about 4 oz of shampoo, and about 20 of sapuyulo oil. My scalp feels kinda dry so I guess thats the reason for the dandruff. Ive been dreading naturally for about some 3-4 months now, except for some in the back of my head which ive had for about 6 months now. Dandruff has been present since.
I'd generally say if you're having dandruff problems I would ditch the shampoo and use baking soda instead, maybe with a little tea tree oil (if dandruff is still a problem). Or just use water and do an ACV rinse or deep clean every month or so.
Yes, about the dandruff...I had issues with my scalp, itching and being oily and scabby and...gross... and I ditched Bronners and brought out the baking soda..I mean, I already clean my face and teeth with it....and it has done wonders for my scalp! It is my naturally go-to for all skin-care needs. Magical stuff, and so cheap!
Its also a sapuyulo shampoo, unluckily the ingredients arent listed LOL but it says it is a vegetable shampoo, this is the third organic shampoo ive tried though (more than a month) with no good results. Ive read baking soda is drying, thats why i havent tried it. also, the dandruff is dry, so, i dunno if I should. I feel that water only wouldnt clean my hair too well, too.
Baking soda and/or tea tree oil, both great things. Baking soda is just really good for removing odours as well, and makes your hair feel really clean imo. (I'm doing my best to convince you here). I would also say if you do try it, it might take a little while for your scalp to adjust to the change.
I just dont want to have my scalp dryer than it is right now, cause I get grains, and its really scally and flaky. Ive read many posts over the net, tried cold after warm water, rosemary tea, rosemaary w/olive oil, all with no results. Im growing some aloe vera, so i will try that as well. How much baking soda should I use if I decide to try it? and how much tea tree oil?
You don't need the carrier oil if you're putting the tea tree in your shampoo. just fill a tub with warm water and put a cup or so of baking soda in and soak your head for a bit, then rinse it out in the shower...
