Does anyone ever go into the chat room? It's fun sharing barefooting stories, but I have never seen any Barefoot members there (other than one specific person).
Hah. Good one. My humble advice is to establish a couple of times a week for people to meet in the chat room. I say a couple so that people in very different time zones can take advantage of it (and actually find people in it) without being up at stupid hours of the night.
Excellent idea. I live in Northeast PA, so it's 3:31 p.m. when I post this. U.S. members (as opposed to European/Asian ones) are up to 3 hours earlier. If members want to hang out and share barefootin' tales, any time between, say, 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern U.S. time. If others want to "live chat," let's establish a time frame so some of us can get together.
Anyway, if anybody out there wants to "live chat" about barefooting, let's see if we can make a group or two. See my post below about time zones.
That would be 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Central European Time. Not too convenient. How about 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. EDT (or EST in winter), making it 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. CEST (or CET in winter)? Um. Maybe we need more than one time slot. Plus there should be only one day of the week devoted to the chat (or two days), so that people can be sure that they find someone. Otherwise everyone shows up on different days and there is no critical mass.
Your idea works. 5--10 p.m. EDT Any day of the week is fine with me---if "a critical mass" can agree on a day or days, it's a done deal, doggone it!
How about Tuesdays and Fridays? Right now I'm kind of on and off. I'll see if I can drop by in a while.
I love your enthusiasm and I don´t want to disappoint you. I have tried chats in other places, for example icq, msn. Most often it´s like you could at most discuss barefooting for an hour, then you get sort of lack of topics. You realize that you have maybe nothing else in common than a like of going barefoot.
