Believe it or not, I'm working for a company who works with Childrens International asking people to help these kids out, this is going to be my most challenging job, but I'm excited... What is your current line of work?
Just an FYI. http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=3479 I wish I could be paid $350k to run a charity. but eh...they dont seem that bad. but id aviod anybody that isnt a 4 star charity.
No profit companys dont mean people dont get huge chex. It means all extras at the end of the year are re distributed through bonus or given away to charity
Fast food...I had the opportunity to be a sub driver for the post office, but I'm just now learning how to drive all over again, so I had to turn it down for now. Sad, that was $18 an hour...but it was only one day a week.
Not everywhere. Some countries have thrift stores that are in competition with the 'factory seconds' stores for prices. The thrift stores I refer to are the ones backed by big charities...who give clothing/goods to the needy direct and have now upped their prices in the stores to grab some momey off the bargin hunters.....at the expense of the lower income groups who dont get handouts from them.
Good luck Angel. :hurray: I am working at a resturant, as a waitress and bartender. Have been for 6 months... First job and love it to pieces.
Do you have waitress feet yet ? You know ...the skin looks like you have been soaking your feet in water for 24 hours....due to the sweat of walking around all the time.....nurses get it tooo. and yes, serious question. for some reason some dont get it...they seem to end up with cracked heals.
What kind. YES! Thank you. I can make more then that. heh We're five star actually... ty I thought about waitress, but I need more money, and a fun environment... plus I"m a great sales person.
Good luck with that job Angel. It sounds like a good one Right now my line of work is finding a line of work.
Well, I was only guaranteed one day a week (10 hours every Saturday), and would be on call the rest of the week every week, so I'd have to keep another part-time job, and I don't know of anyone who would be that flexible. My job right now offered to try to work with it, but I've worked there for 3 years and already know it wouldn't work out, I've seen this scenario too many times. And I also couldn't pass a piss test right now if my life depended on it. But the post master REALLY wants me to come to work there, so if they have a different opportunity, maybe a clerk position, she'll call me. When they had the postal exam last year, she wrote me a personal letter and put it in my parents' mail box, then when this job opportunity arose, she called me from her house. She wants me in there bad, so it's not like I threw away a golden opportunity. But there were a LOT more cons to that job than pros. And when the con list way outweighs the pros, you know what you gotta do.
