Ok, so last night a couple friends of mine were on their way to my house to smoke some late night bowls. I'm sitting up in my room smoking a butt out the window while I wait for them. I see them pull up outside my house and I call them and tell them I'll be out in a minute or so because I'm finishing this cigarette. Literally like 10 seconds after I hang up I see another set of lights coming up in the distance behind my friend's car and immediately think police, even though I live in this super secluded neighborhood that no cops ever come to. Sure enough, a cruiser pulls over behind my friend's car and I'm sitting up in my room with a perfect view of the whole situation. So I'm in my room, eyes bulging out of my head because I can't believe what I'm seeing and smoking cigarette after cigarette since I'm kind of freaking out. The cop takes my 5 friends out and lines them up, starts acting all tough and getting in all their faces. He searches the car and finds a rack and a hookah in the trunk. I don't think he has any legal right to take the hookah but he does anyways. Then I hear him start asking them what they're doing and someone says they came to pick up a friend. Now I'm really freaking out but at the same time reassuring myself that I can't possibly get in any trouble for this. He starts getting really pissed because he wants to know the name of the kid they came to pick up, but noone says anything. He starts asking them all whether they've been drinking and starts being a huge dick, calling them stupid shitfaced teenagers and crap like that. All of my friends are pretty good about the whole situation and they're all staying calm and saying "yes sir" and "no sir" and not much else. Piggy decides to breathalyze everyone and everyone fails. Everyone there is a minor, so they all call their parents (this is at like 2:30) and everyone's parents have to come pick them up. After everyone gets rides all set up, the cop starts singling out one of my friends who previously got in trouble for graffiti like 2 years ago. "What were you guys doing out here this late, huh? I see you've got some history in vandalism you come out here to do some more of that shit, you smartass little punk?" This guys one of the biggest dickhead cops in town and he is making me sick to my stomach by this point. Eventually everyone's parents come and pick them up and I'm still sitting in my window, not having moved for like 45 minutes. They're all in a lot of trouble obviously. The driver was driving past curfew, drunk, with alcohol in the car so he's going to lose his license. So anyways kids, the moral of the story is: Always stay and smoke that last cigarette, because if you're smoking a cigarette, you're not getting arrested by the police.
wow, you're REALLY lucky you didn't get in trouble, although I have to say the cop had a right to be a dick to your friends, teens drunk driving is always trouble
omg, once at my old house in Maryland I was smoking out my window and 6 cops pull up to my house, I was like omg, it turns out my step dad had called the cops cause their was this fight next door
Interesting story. It's a good thing your friends are loyal enough not to give out your name. That would have also sucked.
That sucks... Similiar situation from back in the day...apartment party at my place with several bongs/alcohol/a couple people doing coke(my roomies druggies friends). I walked down the block to walk a female friend home. When I came back, the cops were citing all the underagers and arresting the two dudes with coke. I just sat out by the pool patio watching the whole thing. My roomies were pissed that I didn't do something, but I was like WTF was I supposed to do at that point. They caught you guys because the party grew while I was gone. But, yeah, sometimes you get lucky. Sorry about you friends, but, really, DUI is not good.
Yeah, I can definitely understand why any cop would pull them over, but they had been driving all over the place to pick up everyone and then finally they get to my house in these way backroads where no cops ever go, and there's a cop there at 2 in the morning. I call that bad luck. I was thinking though, even if they had given up my name nothing could've happened to me. The cop could've come to my door, woke up my parents and told them that he had reason to believe I was having thoughts about sneaking out? Anyways, of course none of my friends gave my name. I'm not friends with rats.
not that i haven't done plenty of dumb things, but you're lucky they got pulled over. maybe if you got in the car your drunk friend would've crashed and paralyzed you. good read though and nice friends tell em to smarten up though
We weren't planning on cruising around. We would've just sat outside my house and smoked bowls, which we did all the time up until this night. Now I don't think we'll be smoking bowls on my street anytime soon. My friend wasn't hammered at all, he had maybe like 4 beers a lot earlier in the night. The driver is one of the most responsible friends I have and he never drives drunk unless he's only had a couple beers. As for the other kids in the car and myself. . . very very hammered. joker, let me rephrase that. I guess I was a bit unclear, probably because I was really stoned. "If you're smoking a cigarette while not being arrested by the cops, you're probably not getting arrested by the cops."
My plan was to get his attention by making a similar user name on this internet forum. I could then use this common ground as a jumping off point for our relationship. I would eventually lure him to a remote hostel on the outskirts of a Russian industrial city, where I could kill him and sell his organs for crack money. everything is falling into place!
