are by far the best bands i've ever seen live. i know i dig the hippie jam sound. and i've hear most of the other big names, including phish, umphrey's mcgee, and the string cheese incident. i'm looking for any other jam style musicians...hell...or even some fusion jazz or something. with that same sort of vibe. that controlled intensity that releases into a climax that just makes the entire crowd go nuts. anyone know of any other bands like this?

I 2nd Bisco. I listen to their boots from the summer tour with a shit eating grin, think about seeing them live!

i listened some some franti and spearhead on youtube not too long ago and it was too howie day ish for my tastes. still gotta check out the rest though.
Jazz mandolin project. seeing them live man is a RUSH, its a work out, and just god damn i've seen them probably 5 times, and man i love that man and his band!!! i don't see how he is howie dayish at all to be honest ima find some good shit for you dreanged
