Barefoot at the Market

  1. A fun thing to do is to do your food shopping barefoot---those smooth, cool floors sure leave my soles grimier than I ever thought they would. Of course, it all depends on the grocery store, but so far, so good. Doing a chore barefoot just makes it not a chore!

Went barefoot to Kroger this morning. Still being a little shy about it, I went at 6:00 AM and went to the one just outside of town. Been there before without shoes without problems. Store was recently remodeled so the floors were really smooth and cold.

  3. Just did another barefoot grocery run. It DOES feel a little surreal (like the dream where you show up in school without pants), but it also DOES feel AWESOME. Def something to try out and see how you feel about it...but once "there," there is no turning back. Besides, those cold floors really help build up a little resistance against those heated blacktops outside. YIKES!

Just back from another barefoot trip to the supermarket. It is winter here, and 6 degrees outside, so the smooth floor was a relief on my cold bare sole after walking across the outdoor carpark on my crutches. I got plenty of looks, but I am not sure if it was the crutches or my bare feet which they were looking at. Despiute the cold, I saw two girls in flip flops, but no one else in bare feet.
