i got some from a friend a long time ago, before it was scheduled. only i kept it improperly, for a long time before i took it. i was going to take the last "legal" or first illegal AMT trip, when i found out it was up for scheduling. but it must have deteriorated or something, cause i got little to no effect, and his sources were always legit, plus it met physical descriptions and such i just wasted it the merry pranksters liked it, for what its worth (not much, imo)
i don't know. in an airtight container in a cool, dark place i think. mine was in a plastic baggie. and it's really sticky stuff, so it stuck to the bag and was hard to get out. and plastic baggies are hardly airtight, and i held on to it for a long time paying no attention to temperature. i figure a combination of improper storage and simply having it stick to the plastic is what did it.
All of the hospitalization reports from normal doses on the erowid vault make me cautious, I doubt ill be trying AMT just because it has the POSSIBILITY to go horribly wrong. I doubt the 10 or so reports of hospitalizations on erowid were mislabeled and misplaced reports. Plus I have no scale still, so im only gonna be using drugs I can eyeball without too much of a problem. IE: split 100mg into 5 equal parts -- gives a good 20 +/- mg and so on.
having just read all those reports, they were all written by people experiencing normal psychedelic sensations who FREAKED OUT and called 911. This is no different than DPT hospitalizations. You have to learn to read through people's bullshit. Most of those people also became violent on their trip, and sound generally like giant idiots. Many of them also involve very large doses. Take your pick, do you listen to the trip report about the guy who tried to murder his friend's cat because he "doesnt like cats", or about the dude who took like 150mg alone in a dorm room and ran around "screaming at the top of my lungs looking for a party or weed". its just kiddies playing with fire.
He said he's not 100% sure as it was ~7 years ago, but thinks it was ~50mg's for most of them with a very tiny girl present who took ~25mgs and reported the experience as being fairly light.
He had this to say: From what I've read on other forums it's action as an MAOI is very mild and almost negligible. I didn't feel the need to observe any special precautions with regards to diet or polypharmacy (no problems when mixed with cannabis, caffeine (energy drink), nitrous and 5-meo-dmt) However, YMMV and one should always use caution...especially when it comes to MAO inhibition. One note, IME it does not play well with 5-meo-dipt, or 2C-I.
Jeebs wanted to say: One more thing, if too large of a dose is taken slightly unpleasant side effects may occur; ears feel like they need to pop, general congestion etc. Afrin-type nose spray seemed to completely remedy this. But these side effects only occurred after unnecessary redosing.
Like nesta said, in a cool, dark place. A FOAF stored 5-meo-dipt in a small amber vile with little regard to temperature and it was still 100% active with no degradation after 7 years. He was saving for when he met his wife...and just took the night before last....and he is very happy he saved it He also made a tiny silica packet with some silica beads, tiny corner of a baggie and some floss and tossed it in their with the Foxy. But yeah cool and dark, in an air tight container/vile.
i've been really wanting to get some just to have it in my collection. dunno if its something i'll ever take.
To have it in your collection only would be a shame. Though, it would definitely be something that would have to be reserved for special and rare occasions. (what with it's 20 hr duration and all)
well it arrived while i was at the cottage, and sat in a hot metal mailbox for 1-7 days. whole mailbox smelled of it lol. hope its still good. god DAMN vacuum packing . . . i'm thinking of just filling bag with water, waiting 5 minutes, drinking half, storing other half in plastic water bottle for future use.
