Rear Delts are always slow growing, they're just such a tiny strip of muscle. But to hit them directly you can do a reverse pec dec machine, or bent lateral raises with dumbbells keeping your torso anywhere from parallel with the ground to about 45 degrees. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP_APB-ZwKk&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKB0TycsxgI
I tend to do split workouts 3 times a week, with cardio a few times a week. I also do martial arts and dancing classes. I don't stick to any particular exercise for the split and I mix up which muscles I split. I'm not a specific training regiment, just gaining and maintaining, pretty good beyond that.
Thanks for these. I just exercise at home so the first one isn't an option. With the second one...that won't gave me big trapezoid muscles too will it? Don't wanna lose my neck like those big old body builders do. Bleh.
= D You never really have to worry about getting big muscles unless you're making a very concentrated effort, or have a lot of natural testosterone. There are a lot of guys who work very hard for it and still can't manage. It does hit the lower traps pretty well though, just avoid heavy shrugs and you'll keep your feminine neck. It's a very pretty neckline btw, and your dreads are badass. I can barely do rear delt raises properly with like 8 pound pink dumbbells so 2 or 3 lbers would probably be a good weight for most girls.
i like how im sitting here eating the BIGGEST donut. my exercise.. dancing at gigs, sex (i have discovered my abs), im ganna start swimming more often, i walk. thats about it =]
At the moment I can only do cardio and lower body weights, my shoulder injury prevents me from doing anything upper body which sucks , well unless I want a whole unsymmetrical look! Im still waiting for physio on the crappy NHS, had a steroid injection which did fuck all , I hate the feeling of all my progress at the gym going down the drain
That fucking sucks bro, I had shoulder surgery my Junior year of high school. Was stuck in a chair with sharp pains every time I moved for like a month, and stuck in a sling for another 6. They injected a dye with a 4 inch needle all the way into my joint at one point, I could hear them grinding against bone and shit, I think they did it wrong. The rehab was the worst pain I've ever experienced they would tug my arm behind my head to increase flexibility. It was sooooo bad ... I would break out into a sweat while it was happening. Anyway I went through some shit and came out pretty well put together. Muscle memory is incredible, I'm sure you'll bounce back just fine. Take your rehab seriously! Take everything else nice and slow. Sorry about your woes though and good luck pal.
np, that's my goal too. just sweat out the toxins. also, knottblonde, i bet your girlfriend appreciates you posting details of your sex life in not one, but two threads. sounds like 4x/wk is not enough for you.
I do pull ups and inverted sit ups every night... also do a bit of skating and swimming when I have the chance.
I still try to do pull ups But I'm getting heavy. I use to be able to do like 50 no problem now it's considerably less than that
Pull ups are probably about the best exercise you can do for upper back strength. The most useful exercise you can do if you do something like mountain climbing. Inverted situps are a bitch... Each one is supposed to be roughly equivalent to about 10 normal situps.
i wake up and work our for 3 hours in the morning and then 2 more hours at night every day i powerlift and strength train and i am gonna start cross train to i hike up the mountians at least once a week and take my doggie for a hike once or twice a day im training to be a fire fighter
really i excersize a bit more than i said, i have stairs in my house and i have to use them as the toilets up there and i drink alot of tea
Wow. That would seem like a lot of exercising but you do need to be strong to be a fire fighter. Don't you have to be able to lift like 150 lbs or something?
150 pshhhh that kiddie weight firefighters have to be able to pass this ridulous test in 12 min its had as fuck
I lift weights every other day. Squats, presses, deadlifts, nothing big and nothing fancy. I'm working on pullups but I can only really do 1 on at the moment.
Dumbells most nights, 30 squats and occasionally situps What are your muscles like Pat__? Hardy dense muscles or lame "beach muscles" as i call em
