cheap moonshine vs cheap vodka

i don't think there is such thing as premium moonshine anyway, but how would you compare the two?
Because i was surprised when i found outthat they now sell moonshine in my store of choice. I think it may be a very good thing but i don't want to waste money if it turns out to be undrinkable (like cheap whiskey and other such shit).

Is it neutral alcohol like i expect? Can you use it to "alcoholize" drinks without altering their taste ? What would you choose ?

 

everclear is good for that,

Yeah, if you want to alcohalize stuff, go for the everclear or vodka...
