Hi im an aspiring fabric artist. I love hemp, and I make all types of jewelry but I've been wanting to make better, more useful things, i really wanna make bags that i could carry around. I keep seeing the word "crochet" and it seems more confusing to do than pronounce! I was just wondering if anyone has tried to crochet using hemp? Any tips on where to start?

Hi Ive used hemp to crochet with,it was raw hemp not the stuff thats soft like cotton that you buy in shops.I bought it online really cheap but the lady does not stock it anymore and all the hemp Ive found is really expensive :(
Its ok to crochet with,a little stiff, make sure you use a metal hook and it was quite rough so hurt my fingers a little.
Just try experimenting with stitches and different size hooks to start and see how you get on
Its nice and strong and looks good after you've finished too :)
