how i long for cleanliness, silence and air conditioning

folks i been talkin to out there say it aint rained in a couple months.. of course i know texas is a big state so that may not be the case where your at..

 

Here it's been a bit dry.

South Texas has been in a major drought though. Around the Houston area is supposed to be really bad, even up as far north as like San Antonio.

But yeah, I'm really glad to see it. It honestly feels like it cheers me up alot after two weeks of straight 100+ weather. I know the farmers are happy for it. :cheers2:

 

Tough hangin' onto that "freakin mind". Easier if you just lost it and get it over with. Do something crazy, some crazy dance, or sing some crazy song. Kids love it when you get crazy like they are. Take 'em outside and hose 'em all down. That'll teach 'em.

But I sympathize,,

 

the temp up here is actually just fine, its once youre stuck out in the sun and out of the wind that you start just melting... we went dog parking today which was fun, but once the trees hid the wind it was sooooooooo hot

 

the problem with the screaming children is that they're not even my fuckin kids so there's not much i can do about it....

my kids know better, welll, actually they don't but they're just not spoiled screaming brats like my neighbors...

the mom is even worse, she screams just as much as they do and makes idle threats that she never follows through on then gives the fat little bastards more sugar to temporarily shut them up which works for 5 seconds then they shift into high gear!!!

ive since moved my fan into the basement and poured myself a glass of wine, the mess can wait.

 

Bummer MaryJ, you have my sympathy and well done on raising kids who know better. As a child-free couple me and my girl are appreciative of well behaved kids, they see to be getting rarer and rarer each year - fast, loose and out of control is the norm!

Hate to gloat... but its only 80F and a pretty tidy place this w/end in California, the cats drive us crazy occasionally though!

77 here in HB, but it feels like 90 something up here in the upstairs, on the sunny side of our place. Think I'll open the window,,haha..

cleaning is done, it wasnt an actual mess as much as it was things slightly out of order, but my ocd told me otherwise

i dont know about drugging the neighbors kids though, i mean, i have balls, but even i have to draw the line somewhere
