See,,this is where I had assumed you were laughing about there being a spell checker on HF. My bad. So much for tootive,,
I've wondered that myself. I think both versions of a given word should be flagged separately from misspellings... underline them in blue or green and don't simply label them as an error. I do realize the origins of the language and while I use it in the manner that was taught to me I appreciate the differences and look at my own usage as a step away from an original, more pure form. I often wonder if British and Canadian folks cringe at my spellings the same way I cringe when I see "rediculous".
I use these smileys:  and :smilielol5: in 50% of my posts. I am usually being serious. But I always laugh.
I kind of hate asking procedural questions, but just in this case,, where in the heck ARE those smileys? I don't see those available in the posting window.

Haha, I just went to the quick reply, right clicked, found my spell checker and the ability to download more, and ding! There it was! Amazing. lol I want to download the Spanish one on here, but I'm pretty sure my roommmate would be pissed if it was trying to make him type in Spanish.
oooooh I coulda just done all that, yea yeah aye, but then I wouldn't have been able to create a bit of a drama and moan about it all on here.
you could use UK spellcheck Sometimes, when I use spellcheck, I do. but, usually, it's just wild west.
Google Chrome ftmfw. Why don't you right click the underlined correctly spelled word and click "Add to Dictionary"? I'm american, but i really like how Europeans spell.
