well, i got a long distince telephone call from kotzebue, alaska this morning, from my nephews' girlfriend. my shit for brains nephew got the "great ideal" to put food out and, wait for the the bears to show up so, he could take some pictures of them then, the dumb fuck sets everything up down wind. guess what? the bears showed up alright... they walked up right behind him and, mauled him! he is alive and in the hospital and he is going to be alright if, infection does not set in. as you can tell i'm angry as all hell about this! when i first got the phone call this morning, i was scared shitless for him! i was raised around bears and, i was educated about how to live around and deal with them. my nephew, has spent a great deal of time in northern minnesota, in bear country and, i have educated him about bears... then he turns arounds and does stupid shit he was educated never, ever, to do! ok, i can understand and accept someone who has lived in the city their entire lives and, never been in the wilderness before, might pull something like this because, they just don't know better. ignorance i can understand and, i can forgive too. ignorant people can be educated. stupid people have never learned and, most likely never will! thank you all for letting me rant awhile and, get this off my chest. i feel a little better now. i'm just waiting right now and holding my breath; praying that mark (my nephew) does not take a turn for the worst and i have to go to alaska. far, far, far worst yet is, if i have to bring his body home with me!
I understand the feelings of anger toward him for doing something stupid that he knew better than to do. But people fuck up, and right now all you can do is wait to hear back about his condition. I would withhold showing any real anger until that's found out. If he turns out to be okay, rip him a new one about this though because that was some dumb and dangerous shit he did! And I hope he's okay, too!
