Tired of all these myths going around

OK let me start to explain what pisses me off about how cluless people are about psilocybin first off theres no such thing as hydroponic shrooms. Im guessing when people say this they mean they are the hydroponics(from weed) in the mushroom forum I would just like to say there are 2 types of shrooms out there field shrooms which I love finding because you never know how potent they are and grown shrooms which has nothing to do with using water as a root system unlike hydropontics GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEAD PEOPLE.

 

Ohh man you think these are bad, all of my friends think that "SHROOMS WILL MAKE YOUR STOMACH BLEED, THATS HOW THEY MAKE YOU TRIP"

And its impossible to tell them how its a myth, they just think I'm a crazy druggie who wants to see them trip balls. Its like trying to convert some hardcore christian to becoming an athiest, close to impossible.

 

the first time i tripped one of the girls i was with said that, she was like "yea the reason you trip is becuse the shrooms fuck up your stomach so bad it makes you see shit" and everyone else in the car was like "OMG thats crazy!!!1!!".....i was like, first of all...not true lol. and second of all, if that was true do you think so many people would actully trust shrooms as a safe trip.

pshh... in my opinion ppl should do some research before just blindly taking something, know what your putting in your body and what its doing to you.

 

the simplest and perhaps most common method of cultivating cubensis mushrooms indoors uses brown rice flour (or similar whole grain flour) for nutrition for feeding the fungus, but primarily offering it water (mushrooms are 90% water after all) and using vermiculite to provide space for the mycelial growth between the particles of flour.

hydroponic growing does not necessarily mean using nothing but liquid to grow a plant. the roots may often be supported in a solid, nonnutritive material which is flooded with the water and nutrients. such materials may include rock wool (commonly used with cannabis) or even vermiculite.

by a strict definition, using vermiculite and a soiless source of nutrition would mean that said mushrooms are in fact grown hydroponically. hydroponics has many, many variations, and doesn't always look like the high-tech setups designed for pot and commercial vegetables

further, there are far more than 2 types of psilocybian mushrooms.

 

HA! i wish thats what my friends thought, according to a guest speaker in school (some fucking idiot) shrooms make your brain bleed and THATS why you trip. because when your brain is bleeding your mind goes into a panicked, delusional state.

who in their right mind would ever think snorting mushrooms would be a good idea? its like the super long long long way around the bush.

 

if you had an extract of the mushrooms which could be powdered it would probably be very interesting. most tryptamines i'm familiar with can be insufflated....DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, DPT, LSD...i bet psilocin/psilocybin would work beautifully, but i can't see managing to take even a single gram of ground mushrooms that way. it would have to be extracted. i'd love to try it someday, but not with actual fungal matter lol

I have to water my garden to help my shrooms grow...if I don't water it they don't come up. So really you sorta water shrooms to grow but not like plants. You water the medium keeping it moist creating the right environment for shroom growth.

 

In 5th grade my class was told that if you do psychedelics, there's a good chance you will see giant spiders or some other kind of monster and that you'll think the only way to escape is to jump out of a window.

 

so in other words it's exactly the same lol

fresh mushrooms are, on average, around 90% water by weight. the fungi absorb the water through the mycellia and use it to constitute part of the mushroom's mass.

similarly, plants absorb water (primarily) through roots and use it to constitute a par of the plant's mass.

no real difference.

Hawaiian are you saying you just water the soil in your garden and your shrooms grow? or did you buy one of those woodchip/spawn kits for shrooms? that would be unbelievable to have them just grow in my garden..
