I saw ELP live at Merriweather Post Pavilion around 1972. I remember the piano got destroyed at the end.

I love ELP, man! I'm a huge Greg Lake fan! I especially loved him with King Crimson. Of course, I'm into Keith Emerson, and Carl Palmer is on my list of favorite drummers. Trilogy is my favorite ELP album. Long live prog rock!

My dad grew me up on this stuff. ELP and King Crimson are my favorite prog rock bands. Lake's voice is amazing.

I grew up on this stuff, as well. 'Pirates' is such an amazing song. Love Lake's voice! I once got into a fight with someone because they said 'Greg Lake is the William Shatner of rock". I went ballistic on them :D

ELP is a lot of fun, but always on the lower end of my favorite prog groups. Their lyrical silliness never clicked with their virtuosity--to me at least.
