I just recently learned how to cook meat, so I'm still learning, but I can slow cook a potroast like no one's business. My dad thinks I'm one of the best cooks ever (second to his mother, lol), and his favorite thing I've made for him so far is cheeseburger stuffed potatoes. I'm actually making that for dinner tonight, but Daniel doesn't like them/won't try them because he's like a 3 year old when it comes to meal time, so he gets a regular baked potato and fried spam instead.
ahaha, that's so funny. I got a guy I work with who will only et cheeseburgers, pizza, and spaghetti and thats only if it's "normal" spaghetti
holy crap that was indeed a very tedious task, but so worth it!! justin is kind of the same as daniel, ramona, he's quite picky but i've learned to work around it for the most part. cate next time youre out this way stop in and we'll have some wine and make some gnocchi!!:cheers2:
well I don't really measure but about a cup of mashed potato, a beaten egg about a pinch of salt, pepper if you like, then mix it with flour until it becomes a dough (like a stiff dough so that you can roll it) then roll them out into "snakes" and put it in some salted boiling water. they'll sink to the bottem an when they float to the top, take them out and drain them in a strainer or something. Enjoy and I hope it works out for you!
oh man, i skimmed the top of the chicken broth i made today to get the fattiest part of it i could, and put it in a saucepan. in another pan i had mashed potatoes started. i got the fat/broth mixture sizzling, along with a small quantity of butter, and added two heaping tablespoons of flour and stirred like mad. also put in a few crushed half dried leaves of rosemary. it glommed up and sizzled and cooked for a few minutes then i thinned it out with proper broth and let it cook a few more minutes, then set it aside to cool and thicken while i drained the potatoes and added the butter and milk to them and started mashing. its my second attempt at making gravy myself, and it came out FAR better than my last attempt. i just finished a big tasty bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy and i'm pretty happy with it later i can reheat some of the reclaimed chicken meat and make it into a sandwich
I ADORE cooking!!! I can make anything. Just made spinach artickoke mushroom stuffed crust pizza from scratch. Made a loaf of bread for sammiches that we're taking to the lake monday. Stuffed burgers last night.. I do it big here. I never follow a recipe. I love to get stoned and cook.
