Al-Qaeda is not a lie. Its a gross exaggeration.

We were made to believe there was some massive worldwide network of terrorists after 9/11 known as Al-Qaeda. In reality its a pretty small group of extremist extremists, if you will. Al-Qaeda is unpopular even in the muslim middle east. When Al-Qaeda went into Iraq (only after we invaded, of course - they had not been there before though their connection to iraq had been a justification for the war) guess who drove them out? The natives were much more responsible for pushing them out than we were.

Though a lot of muslim extremists have the same greivances as Al-Qaeda, most of them think the organization goes way too far and hurts the cause more than it helps.

The only connection you will find that Al-Quaeda was funded by the CIA...is the fact that OBL was part of the mujahideen fighting in Afghanistan...which WAS funded by the CIA.
Pretty silly to think the CIA funds Al-Quaeda now.

But, find some evidence and perhaps it won't seem so silly.
