i just wanted to come here and vent about this little jerkface. he ate almost my entire pepper plant except for a few leaves and 3 peppers. i removed him and put him far far away and today i found 2 of his buddies on my tomato plants. i dont want to kill the ugly things but they're starting to piss me off!

they aint much you can do about hornworms except pull them off and relocate or dispose of them that i know of.

you can use Bacillus thuringiensis (Dipel) as a last resort but thats about it as far as organic means..

GL,,lol depends on what kinda bugs.. ;)

You gotta hate hornworms they'll even look you in the eye. Thing is if you let them get a foothold they will be with you for a very long time. Especially if your winters aren't very cold. I am afraid you have to be heartless. One control I found effective for awhile were Guinea hens. Had a few that I raised for a while, but they tend to wander if you let them free range or have varmits that feed on them when you aren't looking and they refuse to stay where it's safe. Neat kind of prehistoric looking birds. Had one named Henry that would follow me around the garden and come running when I called worm and dispose of the offending pest.
