Picture Update

This is last month after T & R.. Day 1..



And I went to the salon this week after hitting like 1.5months.. I needed them to be tighter since I work in the medical field and need to wear my hair professional, and somewhat groomed (as if there is such a thing with dreads) but ya guys get what I mean. Loving my dreads! No wax here! Only complaints are that I have shrinkage now from the backcombing and twisting, and my scalp is suffering from the itchies.. But SE already gave me some tips on that.

Sorry If they are big.. O yea.. And I think I hate the bangs.. It's really not me, but I thought what the heck and tried it.... So I will prob dread those in veeerry soon.

ya know unless u run your fingers thru the bangs alot they should dread on theyre own pretty fast, except possibly the short center
kindws s looks loike 2-3 dreads would form on the sides but the center would need a couple inches

what i think would be absolutely adorable on ya tho would be if u just twist on a few beads ..thin peyote stitches on the 2-3 on the sides and single small collored beads on the front (maybe 4 acrooss?)
or if theres room 5 do a pattern red gold green gold red or whatever u want

what ya want is beads with as small enough hole that when u pull a section thru it it grips so tight u gotta force it on and it wont budge (take a loop of thyread thru the bead wet the tip of the section so its a wet point, put the poiint thru the thrad loop then use it to pull thru thye bead..force the bead up till it sticks..retyry with more hair if it wont stay

I think the natural hair that falls out would look really nice surrounding your face than the thicker pieces you have of undreaded hair. I think that is what you mean by "it not being you".

I had left my bangs undreaded (mostly because I was too lazy to do anything with them) and after a week or two they already started forming noticeable sections and are on their way to join the rest of my dready hair =]

yea thats what i sauid doing nothing they'll dread up fine in no time..just the shorter parts might take longer
