First snow

Hey free, is it true that they decriminilized marijuana for everyone over 21 there?
I heard it already happened, just not sure.
What say thou?

 

No it didn't pass nathan, it was pretty close with 44% voting yes. Even though it didn't pass we still have some great descisions made by judges lately. The latest let a grower off citing the "right to privacy" in our homes from the state constitution. The state cops basically can't get a warrent for search unless a witness can attest that the number of plants will produce more that four ounces.

My dad said they were just trying to allow you to possess larger quantities... my dad used to grow it and deal in Sitka. They supposedly used to allow it... I don't know... it's rather strange, laws up there. There isn't much to do in the winter besides drugs up there... lol

Until 1989? it was legal to possess up to four ounces for personal use based on our constitution. In 1989? weed was made illegal by petition and voted in. This new law has been deemed invalid by certain judges based on the fact you can't change the state constitution by petition. The law is quite confusing. Basically weed is illegal by a law that has been deemed unconstitutional.

And...I love winter up here weed or no weed. Get dressed in the right clothes and be outside. I work and play outside all winter 40 below or not. Snow rocks. Break out the snow boards, (lift tickets are half price when it's colder that 20 below F), harness up the dog team, put on the snowshoes. Beware..... vodka colder than 10 below F will freeze burn your throat and beer must be kept by the fire or it will turn to ice at about 0 F.
