SWIM wants to buy around 250mg of 5-MeO-DMT, but will have no way of measuring the doses or aquiring a scale that is accurate to the milligram. Help?
use a balance like this http://sanlorenzolibrary.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/scales-of-justice.gif might work.....
no it would not you need a mg scale to measure miligrams if you can buy 5meodmt, you can buy a scale...or at least borrow one and use it once or twice you need to measure your doses
http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_tr...nkw=gemini+20+scale&_sacat=See-All-Categories that is a good cheap scale, it should work fine for that.
You can use liquid dilution to measure miligrams if you have a ten miligram scale. Or even possibly hundred miligram depending on how sensitive the substance you want to measure is. For example, if you weigh out ten miligrams and put it into a dropper that has ten drops of liquid in it, and it is fully soluble in the liquid, each drop should have one miligram in it. If you weigh out 100 miligrams and put it in a dropper with 100 drops of liquid in it, each drop would be around one miligram. But with a hundred miligram scale, 199 miligrams would be read as 100 also. So a 1 mg drop could really be essentially a 2 mg drop. Not good for drugs where 10 mg is a good trip, 20 mg is dangerous.
actually with scale accurate to 100s of mgs, 151 should round up to 200 mg. so 100 mg could be btwn 50 and 150. technically but with some compounds you should be more precise. if you know the exact weight of a bag (you have to weigh it, the source might not have it perfect) then you can dissolve in a known number of milliliters of water. so that 1mg=1mL that's better than "drops" unless you have a measuring drop then it's the same
if 150-199 rounded up to 200 then the scale would be accurate to 50 mg though wouldn't it? How can a scale that can't measure a miligram know the difference between 151 mg and 150 mg. Correct me if wrong I am quite stoned atm lol. a scale accurate to 100 mg means that 100mg is somewhere between 100-200 mg, and anything less than 100 mg wont register. A scale accurate to 50 mg means that 100 mg is either 50-150 mg, and anything less than 50 wont measure. A scale accurate to 1 mg means 100 mg is 100 mg, but it could be 1mg and 0 ug or 1mg and 999 ug. A scale accurate to 1ug will know if it is 1 mg 1ug or 1mg 99ug. At least this is what I am thinking right now, but again just smoked two fat bowls lol. Ah yeah you do need to do it with ML or whatnot, I was imagining a measuring dropper indeed. Good point.
i think they just "know" to round up or down. a scale accurate to 1 mg should read 0.51 mg and 1.49 mg as 1 mg. it would read .3 mg as 0, and 5.8 mg as 6 mg. at least that's how I THINK it works could be wrong though in any case you need a scale accurate to at least 10 mg in order to properly measure solution based doses
Well if its 5 meo dmt, you could just eyeball SMALL amounts and just work your way up from there until you find a good level, its easier to eyeball small amounts like 10-15 mg (5 meo dmt) compared to 100 mg (DPT). Heres a mg scale thats 23 bucks including shipping, and it works pretty well, I ordered one and many other people on here have- http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10515
Haha I got that one. You can't close the lid but you can hold it close to closed and it works, Chinese crap, but it works and $23!!!
isn't it actually harder to eyeball smaller amounts? you could eyeball much closer to 100 mg of DPT than you could 10-15 mg 5meodmt (depending on assumed starting amount)
