Any thoughts on Brock Lesnar? Apparently he's inspired a generation of jock/bullies to train. Jiu Jitsu was designed specifically for the little man to beat the bigger man but, what now, now that the bigger man knows jiu jitsu(at least enough to stay outta submissions) and is just as much a dick as he once was? Personally, I like Lesnar.
is he an actual fighter now? back when he was just a pro wrestler, i thought he was boring as hell. i haven't followed any of that in years though.
Yup, UFC heavyweight champion in only 5 pro fights. He's a fucking animal, though, he hasn't f5'd anyone yet...
I don't really like watching fights in the upper weight divisions. They focus too much on submission and there is much less leg work.
Anyone above 240 lbs. for the most part isn't light on his feet. I can't see Lesnar shuffling his feet but, if you get touched with that lunch box he calls a hand, it's over.
Lesnar is a dick. A dumb dick. He's a simple, primitive beast of a man. His only talent lies in his freak physique. Sure, he's got some skills, but he beat Mir - like all his opponents - with brute force. I have no respect for that. And a title shot after two fights, one of which was a loss? Wtf? They're taking this guy Kimbo Slice to the next season of TUF. Another beast.. Yeah, beasts can fight effectively, but it's not an art when they do. I like martial arts because they push people to their limits, demand maximum performance under maximum pressure, and because they take time, discipline and devotion to master.
I agree completely with what you said, except for the Kimbo thing. He's not really a beast, he kinda sucks. I think in a re-match and with the right gameplan, Couture can beat Lesnar. And I think Fedor massacres Lesnar.
I don't know much about mr. Slice other than he's an "Internet sensation," so you may well be right. Couture held his ground against Lesnar, but I doubt he would win in a re. He's getting too old to be competing against a beast like that. Fedor would shut his stupid mouth up though. That would be a great fight. I rarely want to see fighters really get hurt, but Lesnar is one of those guys whose face I'd like to see bloodied up. So is Bisping and Sera.
I wanna see Shaq fight him. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...t=AsshMgMoth00GH5VpCZ9_Xa8vLYF?urn=nba,176709
No to defend Lesnar because I could care less about him. But the guy was a College Wrestling Champion. So to say he had no skills is far from the truth. Yes he did join WWE, but he had a wrestling background. I hope we see him fight Fedor. Fedor is the man!
I dunno... I don't get what the attraction is... It's their life... they can knock each other senseless if they want. I just think it's ridiculous.
