I'm sure there has already been a thread made about this movie but I don't want to bring up an old topic.

So who here is a fan of 28 days later/28 weeks later? I LOVED these movies. I prefered 28 days later.

I'm really excited for the final movie to come out... although it looks as though that won't be until 2011 and it apparently will not be called 28 months later, as expected.

    So.. opinions?

I liked 28 Days Later, wasn't my favorite movie but I liked it, however 28 weeks later to me was horrid. Just my opinion though.

I haven't watched 28 Weeks Later, but I liked the first movie. Far from favorite, though, since I don't fancy horror movie much (they just don't scare me).
28 Days Later quite reminded me of Resident Evil Apocalypse.

I loved 28 days later, though it was kind of cliche in it's skinny guy saves the day way. I never saw 28 weeks later, I would like to though.

I completely fell inlove with 28 days later.

I liked the story line to 28 weeks later, but not the characters so much. It was alright though.

28 days is probably one of my favorite zombie movies.
Weeks was really "hollywood" but still was fun...

Well the reason 28 days later was so much better is because Danny Boyle (trainspotting, slumdog millionaire) directed it and not 28 weeks. I haven't heard anything about a third one, but if Boyle doesn't direct it I'll just wait until it comes out on video.

I think I liked both, the first one was a fresh take on the zombie thing.

I liked the immunity concept in the second one

A bit of trivia, Boyle, the director of the first one is artistic director for the London Olympics

Which probably means if he is doing the third film its going to be still a couple of years off

Ah, oh well. Gives time for thought and good ideas (I hope). I personally enjoyed both movies, the first being my favorite obviously. The second one was mighty good for a horror sequel, especially in comparison to the crap people are putting out as good horror movies these days. I liked the idea of there being carriers, that added a whole new element to the whole thing in 28 Weeks Later, but I can also see that going a little stupid in the third movie (if there is to be one).

If you like 28 Weeks Later, you couldn't have fully gotten 28 Days Later.

Agree I really enjoyed these movies and am pretty excited about the third one! I have heard a few other zombie things rip off this theme song a little bit tho. (Anime, other movies.) Which I really like too the song is sweet XD

BUT I was gonna recommend another zombie movie if you like this one you NEED to go find and watch "The Horde" ((NOT DUBBED)) Even though it's french and you have to read subtitles its SUPER SCARY FOR SERLZ!!!!!!!

Remember the initial infection was released by a bunch of hippy activists with a hard-on for animals [IMG]

fucking loved the first film, especially as it was a total love-letter to "day of the triffids", which is one of my favorite books.

28 weeks was okay, but not really in the same league. still better than most zombie films though, but gaping flaws.
