This is the 20,001st post in this forum, I thought I would thank the existence of this forum and I think Mr.'s Shulgin, McKenna, and Hoffman would be proud.

What aspect of your pet or imaginary friend's life has been changed for the better from any chemical? Which chemical? It seems there is a distinction between hedonistic chemicals and positive life-changing chemicals.

I want what's best for my pets and imaginary friends. Has anyone noticed any life changing experiences from any chemicals, for medical conditions, or just something that was an experience that is better to have happened than not, in the long term.

I have a theory that is spiritual, I'm thinking it's all about the tryptamines, I just don't know. Is the spirit molecule DMT the answer, and are we just trying to replicate, extend and modify that experience (long term psychedelic benefit after cessation of use)?

I can't stop thinking about DMT and dreaming. Dreaming is like the biological way of improving your life for the better, after dreaming has stopped. Maybe this is intentionally the mechanism, but it seems work. Evolution means everything that happens biologically has a purpose... Everyone dreams. DMT is essential to life?

Then if this is the case, I'm curious about DMT deficiency... Like chemical deficiencies.. maybe that is the cause of depressions? Maybe this is ADHD? Maybe stimulants help ADHD a little because they increase all chemical releases temporarily? Maybe it has something to do with "reward deficiency syndrome"? Maybe some psychedelics like DMT help people to see the reward?

Reward is the biological and chemical motivation. Nothing would happen if there were no biological reward. If people aren't getting this, maybe that's why they commit suicide and get depressed.

I really have no clue, but I hope soon to find out.

Interestingly... the most posted in thread in Psychedelics is LSD with almost 70,000 (this relates also to my whole DMT thing, I'm fond of LSD for its long term possible medical benefit). Opiates are 2nd at about 30,000 and magic mushrooms are third a little under that. Then synthetics in fourth place.

For some reason I like to put synthetics, LSD, and magic mushrooms in one category. That's 120,000 posts. I think of opiates and pharmaceuticals as basically the same thing. That totals about 55,000 posts.

So there is more discussion, imo, about twice as much, about things that I think might help in the long term.

It would be interesting to add up all the numbers and recategorize my math to see what the big picture is, but I picked the forums with the most posts so I think I would find out the same thing.

Maybe there is not much to say about things like opiates, and a lot more to say about things like tryptamines? Maybe because people live, not die, and think, not not think, on hallucinogens?

I'm too excited about these kinds of things. My best imaginary pet friend actually does no chemicals right now, SSRIs did nothing for depression, stimulants caused volcanic anxiety while helping a little for ADHD.

    tl;dr I know so I bolded.

    Your sig is hilarious! :D

i have had my headspace completely changed by LSD and Psilocin, and many attitudes changed by DPT and MDMA. LSD gave me a thousand-fold increased imagination. Mushrooms gave me complete inner peace. MDMA showed me its ok to be vulnerable. DPT showed me that I can have as much will as I want.

DMT flicked the switch to 'yes' in my life.
I shed away my addictions and have been working on my health ever since.

I have been told Iboga is primordial wisdom.

LSD totally changed my life. LSD isn't just a drug, it is a lifestyle and a mind frame. People who try and treat it like a normal drug are usually in for some surprises. 250 ug of super high quality LSD (actually measured out by who I got the hit from, so known real dose, and let me tell you it felt stronger than "1 mg" of lsd on the hoffman "250s", although that gave me an intense trip too lol) gave me the most intense spiritually mental experience of my life. I experienced total ego death, merged with the universe, went to heaven and was kissed by God, saw the world break down into double helix and float away leaving my surrounded by blackness, and then I was gone myself, but at the same time I was everywhere and all of the universe and all time passed through me in a singularity. It lasted for eternity and for the smallest unit of time possible simultaneously. I have not been the same since!

A friend of mine is red/green colorblind and after doing magical mushrooms he was able to distinguish red and green! This lasted for about 2 hours, during the peak.

He said that people were definitely changed after LSD, that sounds promising for how it may restructure neuropathology in the brain, especially when it comes to cluster headaches/migraines!

I'm ecstatic, Lucy may be making an appearance soon, someone knows someone who has a dropper and puts it on blotters, sounds pretty good.

I had a similar experience on Salvia.

I took a bong rip of some 10x, then a Nitrous hit, and I immediately knew that my consciousness was no longer inhabiting my body. I felt my existance fractalate into an infinite amount of possibilities, then I was accelerated to the speed of light. Everything went round, and in that instant, I became the Universe. I was everything that ever was, is, or shall be. I was my Higher Power, the Source, and all of Creation. After I came back to Earth, I was ecstatic! I exclaimed, "I FINALLY know what its all about!"

    And I still do.

Psychedelics are one of the most important things that us humans are aware of.

    I agree.

I have 100x Salvia extract, hahahahahahaha! Ha.

I love it because it is never anything you crave or could get addicted to, yet it helps! How amazing is that?

Salvia is like a better, quicker DXM disassociatve in terms of the benefit gained from insight. DXM seems to have nasty physical consequences, it seems so dirty.

Plants and anything from plants always seem to be the best! RCs are mostly from plants! Phenethylamines are natural and like Peyote cactus, tryptamines are natural and like magic mushrooms. I like the plant based model and I think everything from plants is superior. Even LSD is natural, in the ergot fungus that grows on grains, right?

This thread is great, look up 'Ananda Bosman' on you tube. the 2nd-3rd part of the video talks about LSD activating parts of our mind we normally have dormant and causing a potential evolution of the mind.

I just got done watching another fun video called 'Kymatica' Mentions shamans being the healers of the planet.

Very interesting. Some mention of near death experiences. I would vouch for that. Parts of my brain were activated that would have never been otherwise and I have never been the same since.

I think shamans are the healers of the planet because they help propagate and give reason to many plants, as well as the direct impact on the human mind, being, soul, feeling, that so much of medicine/treatment/healing today lacks.

I came home from a war (13 months in the infantry, lot of action) and was drinking very heavy - drunk every night. Struggling some with wanting to do violence pretty randomly – one of those assholes in a bar, saying, “Who are you looking at mf” and ready to go. Somehow I ended up living with 2 hippies, Robin and Mike. They turned me on and cared for me for several months, like just being kind and honest with me and never asking bad questions like, “Did you shoot anyone?”

I quit drinking and later I moved on and one thing led to another and one night I was on acid, laying on the mattress in my bedroom and I had this vision of infinite balls bouncing rolling drifting through infinite space and then there was this beautiful tower growing into infinity and I realized (realized as in it became real) that we really are all one through time - past, present and future. Through that and subsequent trips, through my teacher, Stephen Gaskin, through my wife, and whatever strength or wisdom I had, I changed and discovered I was a hippie. I began working (and still do) in a field where I was able to help other people. I quit tripping around 1973, except for once with my Mom when she was dying of lung cancer.

So the answer to the question is that LSD (and also Stephen and my wife) saved me from a wasted and stupid life. Now, as I come close to the end of my life I am deeply grateful.

Super high dose of 4-aco-dmt is strike one; maybe it helped in the long term because it was so powerful it caused a complete rethink of life and enabled a lowering of anxiety through pharmaceuticals from doctors which would not have been considered before, and now there is less anxiety, but it sadly had to happen from something traumatic.

My interest now goes to bk-MDBD and bk-MDMA, possibly super low dose tryptamines, at least for migraine cures, but if DMT can cause a long lasting depression reduction, that is interesting.

can i just ask what makes you think all these RCs are gonna cure your migraines? were shrooms or MDMA studied for this purpose? sounds familiar, so if so, i guess it kinda makes sense for bk-mdma and some tryptamines, but you seem to just be jumping from chem to chem

    psychedelics make you trip
your body chemistry and mind "decide" what to do with the trip
it could just be a fun time
    it could "teach" you something
it could relieve your pain and suffering, but i dunno how to achieve that one, and it's not the reason most people use psychs

Having access to psychedelics in my town and during high school helped keep me away from getting drunk and destroying my body like so many other kids that attended the same school as me.

I have yet to have a 'Life changing' experience but I feel that they have helped me grow into a better person than had I not taken them. When I took shrooms I felt a very strong connection to the land and everything around me including the air I was breathing. I think if I drink a larger amount of the tea it could cause a very healing experience and possible ego death?

I may have to do that after I move. That way I break in the new place I move to with a nice hike/trip.
