One of the movers found a stem, so he knew I smoked. I gave him two hash cookies, I had int he freezer on Friday. I had six left. I just went to get one, and realized there were only 3 left (i haven't had any). It sucks when you're nice and people take advantage of that.
Thing is, if he would have asked, I would have took a couple for me, for when I needed them, and given him the rest.
nope. just saying that people are more likely to screw you over if you're nice to them. i wasn't calling you weak or anything.
^^^ I've never heard anyone say it better than that. Yea, next to lieing, stealing is my most hated trait.
I put the last three in my car. I don't want to eat them knowing a 18 yer old's unwashed hands were touchign them. But, I was planning on giving them to my dogs for the 300 mile car ride on Wednesday. One fo them simply hates the car.
No, I meant, that's the story of my life. I can me nice to my detriment and most of the time I am. I need to learn better boundaries.
It was. I agree with you. I just felt like agreeing with you would make me jaded and unlikable, bitter and I can go on, but i agree. People outside of my family have been shitty to me lately and I am a REALLY nice and very giving person. Ic ould go on about what happened, but it is all my fault for not setting boundaries. I set myself up. But, you live and learn right? I am learning not to take shit from peopel and as a result have cared less and less what people think. I think the weight loss has made me a bit more confident.
I've been asking the same question for a long time. I think it just comes in time.... It's my same imperfection, one of them anyway, haha.
Seems the movers countered your illegal act of giving a controlled substance away for recreational use and stole some extra because they knew you could not call the police..and as for giving your dogs controlled substances, that is also against the law..shame, shame.. but I suspect, they didnt steal any..you had six, you gave them 2..now you only have 3 left..did you look under the frozen corn? cause it seems to me, they would of stole all of them if they were already in your freezer
i don't... i do tend to not go out of my way to do nice things for strangers. like, i'll hold a door open or something like that which doesn't actually involve any sort of investment or risk on my part. but i very very rarely give things away to people i don't already know and trust. because as you saw, they see that as "this person has more shit than they need so i should take some of it." but i really can't give advice here, because i'm still trying to find that balance myself. more often than not i do come off as either an asshole or a pushover. so i don't know.
