anyone else ever listen to police/fire/EMS on a scanner?

i been listening this afternoon and here are the highlights in hicktown..lol

someone stole 689 dollars from taco bell. while the investigation was going on they had a funeral and couldnt find enough available officers for a escort.

a horse got loose and it took three cops to help get him back in his fence.

a person got pulled over and after 30 minutes they requested a K9 unit,1 hour later K9 unit arrives, 3 minutes later person is free to go..

someone made multiple 911 calls from a payphone, resulting investigation found nothing in the area.

a 75 year old woman fell and couldnt get up and requested only females come to her aid..

    now thats excitement..

What I love here is the police, fire, etc. are all free to listen to, but the RTC (buses, senior citizen transportation) are all encrypted.

I don't think we've ever had a day that funny here except when the helicopter was up or when you listen to casino security.

    that's a hoot.

I purchased this scanner about 2 years ago; I love it and you can download various
frequency packages from their website :cheers2:
