Use a shovel or pitchfork- this is very important. I cannot stress this enough.

Ok... I had my fun... now you can counter uncooperative genetics to a degree... I suggest lifting mixed in with less cardio... and eat small meals- NOT junk or processed food. Go for a high protein diet and limit carbs to early in the day... that MAY work for you to some degree... DON'T limit your caloric intake too much.

    I've seen that work.

A friend of mine has huge biceps, looks like a dude that goes to the gym 4 or 5 times a week to lift weights but in reality, he's never done that -- he just started doing series of push-ups daily when he was a fat teenager and he's in awesome shape. :cheers2:

Hmm push ups work your triceps, chest, and front delts primarily. Biceps are used as stabilizers but that's it. I'd venture a guess that he was throwing curls in there somewhere as everyone does curls.

If I could only do two exercises I think I'd choose Dips and Chin-ups. If you don't have handles to do dips, push-ups are a great substitute and Zilla is right they can work wonders. It's pretty important to do some type of pulling exercise if you're gonna seriously work your pushing muscles to help balance out your body. Also that V-shape created by wide lats (big back) will help tremendously with minimizing the visual effect of a little belly fat. Shoulders and Lats are what make your upper body look really manly.

Protein is absolutely paramount, if you're not getting enough, your body will want to build muscle but will be helpless to do so. Also eating some carbs before and after your workout will go a long way in keeping your muscle glycogen and energy up. I could get way, waaayyy more specific if you want but I'm not going to twist your arm. Let me know if I can help in any way and good luck pal.

Don't concentrate on how much you weigh. At 5'9" 130 lbs. you are pretty light for a guy as it is.Matter of fact your previous weight of 150 lbs. is a better weight IMO.--Just eat healthy, moderate excercise and don't worry about it too much.If you have a small belly,so what. It's better than having a sixpack, the only people that have or like sixpacks for the most part are homosexuals anyhow.lol---And you think your weight/ look is 'inbalanced',but I'll bet you most people don't even notice it.Remember often people are their own worst critics.

That doesn't bother me but I have some love handles, it kind of ruins the overall look of my body.

That's true, my family's all worried and shit. Thing is, I don't look good naked and that's the ultimate goal. It's not proportioned.

    That's also true.

The good news is you still have a few years of growth ahead of you, and just maybe you too can share a portion of the rarified air up here at altitude [IMG]
