No, I'm not talking about "Hairspray." I mean,

    HAIR!
    FLOW IT! SHOW IT!
AS LONG AS GOD CAN GROW IT, MY HAIR!!!

    I dunno if it's a classic, but it's amazing.

its one of my all time favourites!

    THE hippie film :)

i have the soundtrack and listen to it often.

it has such a great message as well, such a fun, free, spirited, funny, happy, and tragic film.

I love the play, but have never seen the movie.

The movie has lots of character development that the play just never goes into, and HAIR authors Rado and Ragni were vocally annoyed at the liberties the movie took on their creation.

That being said, the songs are GREAT and it probably doesnt matter much what changes were made to the plot! I love that show and those tunes!

not to offend anybody here, because i think you are all great people, but I fucking hated this movie. to me it's a terrible attempt to catch the hippie atmosphere with actors who have never felt the "verve". again, i'm sorry. i love you guys.

thats pretty much the same sentiment that Rado and Ragni had upon seeing what hollywood had done to their great Hippie Musical.

The actors had to be Screen Actors Guild members, so of course there were no real hippies in the union and the gig fell to singers and dancers... but not hippies. There were alot of hippies doing the plays, some of the biggest freaks you would ever meet... but they didnt get offered to do the movie. And it shows in the final cut of the film, they just arent real hippies.
