Grows around and inch and a quarter a month. Though my dreads are getting fatter than longer these days.
Very slowly It seems, probably something like what you said op couple of inches a year. I've never tried measuring one and checking a year later though.
the average person's hair grows 1/2 inch a month.... nobody sways too far from that, no matter what they say, unless you're talking about facial hair which grows faster than hair on the scalp.
^ yep that sounds about right for me. but at this stage in the locking process my hair may b growing, it' just hard to tell b/c of shrinkage. but, it helps to look at my roots before i dye them
and I think the OP was referring to how much the length of your dreads increases in a year, which, of course will vary with dread size, texture, etc. Since I haven't made it through a year yet, I have no answer right now. So far, in the first month, I haven't noticed them getting any longer or shorter...
Mine didnt sem to grow at all the first 2 years. Just made a helmet of knotts. When I ripped them apart they started like mad
