    Empty Bed

    There is a white canvas
    That lies in my room
    Where we painted love
    With bold flowing strokes
    And muted shades
    Of breathless sighs
    Your hand guiding mine.

    Now it is empty
    The colors have fled
So I draw from my memory
    Tracing lines that you left
On my sheets and in my heart
    Painting by numbers
    The nights you are gone.
