waterboarding has been used for a long time. in terms of the news coverage of it in regards to current events, the stories broke in 2007, i think. i have no idea how long it's actually gone on, though. you might also be interested to know that accusations of the US transporting prisoners to secret, unacknowledged prisons in other countries proved to be true, that there were no nuclear weapons in iraq, and that they still haven't found osama bin laden
