To rep other people you click the balance scales next to the report post button. If you look below somebodys avatar and to the left a bit, you should see it.
I think it's pretty awesome, especially since you can see the stats of posters. I like it. The only thing I don't like is that it will only let me rep posters once, and I have to rep a buncha others first before I can double rep.
How do you know all this information and I don't? :toetap05: I'm going to have to fight you in a parking lot... No really, how did you find all that out? I didn't see it in the FAQs
The reputation points system is not a good fit with the forum's free speech concept. It creates a strong incentive to agree with everyone.
That's probably because nobody has ever given you a negative rep vote for being a "****** lover" just for saying something negative about racism.
I got some negative just for answering someones question in this thread...there will always be some jerks out there
What setting have you adjusted Skip? I know you add/subtract more points from other people according to how much you have yourself, but I just wondered how exactly it worked. Some people are being assholes already and abusing it, I doubt that will come as much of a surprise to you. I liked the rep system in the last place I was that had it, but TBH I am just considering turning it off here.
Did you get one from Pavement? He seems to like dishing out negs for no justifiable reason other than to go out of his way to be as irritating and obnoxious as he can be. He thinks he is being funny.
Well when I first started reading the thread I was all for the karma idea, but go figure we now have idiots running around screwing it up.... hmmm
Why would someone not have the ability to add or subtract from your score? What then is the point in that?
