Why would you have a poster of a mass murderer in your room?

you want to nknow what makes him cool?? ok I'll tell you why. because of the fact that he gave poor people free health care and free education and he took away some land from the really rich people and gave it to the poor. He tried to take over the governemtn of cuba with Fidel castro.. He didn't make is because the amaricans murdered him but Fidel castro did... They overthrew the governemtn because the last governement treated it's people like slaves and treated them very poorly and was terrible...

Pure right wing propoganda. I'm surprised to see that kind of shit here. That article totally misses the point. If the writer was espousing nonviolence, I'd have more respect for the piece, but it's obviously nothing more than overt character assassination. He doesn't say that violence is wrong. He just thinks Che's was wrong. I bet that guy was all in favor of the US bombing Iraq and Afghanistan. I bet he's in the pay of the CIA.

I am being severe. I have no doubt that that man is simply trying to make Che look bad. Anyone who knows anything about Che knows that he was a man of violence. Anyone whose read much about him knows that he wasn't a super warrior like Rambo. But to say that he's stupid is just competely off the wall. This article was written by a professor and he finds Che's writing to be difficult? The passages he quotes make sense to me. Che has a dry, scientific writing style when he's on the topic of explaining his sociopolitical views but that's not an improper or idiotic tone to take. It's the way most high level academics write. I don't know what that professor's problem is. By the end of the piece his tone is that of a child casting taunts in the playground.

The reason I'm so severe is that this kind of crap is EXACTLY how the neocons have risen to power in the US. Everybody eats it up but the left and anarchists, which serves to further alienate the, which is exactly what Cheney and co. want. This is the kind of stuff fed on by Fox News fans and Rush Limbaugh. It's the kind of fascist rhetoric which led to the so-called Red Scare and McCarthyism.

The only respect I have for articles such as these is their effectiveness. I get jacked because I know it works.

Ok lets see, the fact that makes che guevara so great, at least from my point of view, is that he had a main aim in life, and he ACTED according to what he always said. That my friends, its a very difficult thing to see these days.
Now, you may disagree or not with his ideas or the way he carried out his ideas, but you may never say that he was not a true revolutionary, he did what his heart told him to do, and he died doing it.

Ill let you here a letter that he wrote to his sons, ill do my best to translate it:

    To my sons,
Dear Hildita, Aleidita, Camilo, Celia and Ernesto:

If you ever have to read this letter, it will be cause im not longer among you.
You will not remenber almost anything, and the little ones will not remember a thing about me.
Your father has been a man who acted the way he thinks and, sure, has been loyal to his convictions.
Grow as good revolutionaries. Study a lot to be able to control the technique that allows to control the nature. Remember that the revolution is important and that each one of you, alone, doesnt worth anything. Above all, be always capable of feeling in your heart any injustice commited against anyone in any part of the world. That is the most beautiful quality of a revolutionary.
Until forever, kids, i still hope to see you. A kiss, and a great hug from

    DAD.

Everytime i read this letter makes my wanna cry.

I never denied the fact that he was cool, although "because he's cool" is a slightly lame reason...BUT that's beside the point.
