I too am against violence in principle but in this case the punishment no matter how bad can not suit the crime, and those that egged him on and aided him should be on the flaying racks right next to him while the finest medical treatment available is used to extend their agony as long as possible, plain malfeasance and corruption in any public office should draw only the milder public/televised hanging to possibly deter others who might contemplate the same. public service should not be self-service and those who are elected to the highest offices should pay the highest prices for misusing those offices. How can you tell if a politican is lying? Watch his or her lips, if they are moving then they are lying.

sorry despite cheaper gas prices I agree with the last comment:
"Everything except for nothing. Its sheer stupidity"

However I think we've become stupid because the last one: Bush is still our president when he should have been ripped out a long time ago. By force, by aid, peacefully (doubtful), but it still should have happened and I'm sure enough of the world agreed on that matter. I just don't get our species sometimes. We let the most evil run and the most innocent die. Not all the time of course but enough to make it stand out.

Life in prison. Death is too easy of a way out for any crime. I see life in prison as the worst possible punishment.

Just impeach him, and don't elect someone in his place (that's just what need...get rid of one lying politician to replace him with another).

i like soaring eagles idea way back in the beginning. the president should have to live the last thoughts of every single person who died fighting for the war. which would probably lead him to go insane and then he wouldnt have to be impeached, and he wouldnt be happy after his term because hed be living in another white house, except with white padded walls this time.

I think he should be tied to a pole in the middle of Baghdad and let those people decide his fate.War affects them more then us.

Seriously, if the Bush era didn't teach you that nothing will happen to presidents that do this, then you are living in a fantasy world.

The way to prevent this from happening, is to use a system where those who are of military age are the ones who are allowed to vote to send their nation to war...

Those who vote yes, are the first wave in the war.
Those who abstain, are the second wave.
Those who vote no are the third.

This way, it is the people who want the war who bear the brunt of it, with those who try to avoid the decison (abstaining) take the next hit. Those who tried to prevent the war are only called up as a last resort.

The way it is now, the people who make the decision to go to war, are those who sit safely in their offices sending others off to die. They make all sorts of noises about the sacrifices that need to be made, yet don't make any of their own. In fact, not only do they not make sacrifices, but they usually profit off the conflict.
