It varies extremely. Not just from provider to provider but from area to area. Around where I live, we typically have either 5-20 Mbps or are still using dial-up (which blows my mind why anyone would do that). In my area it's almost all flatrate at around $20 - $50 a month for the speeds I gave you. And some providers have random drops, but typically that's due to them using cheap modems, and connectivity is generally really good. There is even some really strong free wi-fi downtown in my city. I can't tell you about any other parts of America.
Hi, bandwidth and price is nearly the same here for ADSL. Usually one can choose between two or more providers. Some remote areas are only connected with limited bandwidth and some very remote areas are only connected via analog telephone lines. Regards Gyro
in the crotch of brian's pants i don't feel pride in any country really i love some countries but that's different i loooooooooove germany because i have german ancestry and it was a beautiful country when i visited it berlin has amazing history i love the fact that i came from slovakia, ireland and the ukraine i like canada, it's my home i am full blown european and i looooooove europe but it's not pride
My pride lies with Texas...and the One Act Play team I was on my senior year. We put on the best show our school had seen in 20+ years. We went to regionals (one competition right before state, there are 4 comps leading up to state). I'm super super proud of that. I'm also a very proud person, so I put a lot of pride into my work.
i would say my pride lies mostly in my accomplishments (which, lately, have been few and far between) but, i am proud that i am entering my final year of undergraduate studies this fall. i am proud to be of hungarian and irish descent.
Here we call it Act One instead =P I am proud of Texas too, but that's because I'm a huge fan of capital punishment =D
That's true, I love being one of those precious white women. I wish zog would give me my good clean country back.
It won't happen like that. You have to raise up, gather arms, and fight against Al Sharpton's armies of darkness.
That won't be easy. Most don't even take pride in their proud Aryan heritage, they're too brainwashed by multicultural television programs.
The only reason i clicked on this thread was because "pride" and "reside" rhyme. Otherwise, my pride lays nowhere. Except maybe uniqueness.
:cheers2: I'll drink to that. Race is a made-up concept. Race is almost impossible to define. It gets you into all sorts of logical dead-ends. For example, say a guy is 51% black and 49% white, and his wife is 49% black and 51% white (assuming that you could somehow prove this). Is it a mixed-race marriage? Like most racist questions, it is absurd.
That's completely ridiculous. Race determines not only your character but also your quality as a person. Thinking otherwise is blind and ignorant.
What is the definition of a race? The standard "I know it when I see it" bullshit will not cut it. Nobody can trace their ancestry back to the dawn of civilization, and nobody is a thoroughbred. Race is little more than a convenient conversational concept propagated by bitter and defensive people.
