I actually found out about Rothbury thanks to this website... Ended up picking it over Bonnaroo. I haven't even gone yet (obviously) but I am already positive I made the better choice for me. Went to Roo last year, going to Rothbury this year.. Maybe Roo next year and Roth the next after that? We'll see! I'm meeting up with a lot of people up there.. I can't wait. The weather is gonna be awesome. I just cannot wait. I'm gonna be in the disability area.. I have to use a ride because I'm having trouble walking long distances right now and some people are helping me "pimp my ride" hahaha. If you are there.. look for a young chick on a pimped out scooter. I think we are putting some lights on and the whole deal. Love to have a hipfourms meet up as well.. just post on here as quick as ya can. I know I'm leaving Wednesday to head up there!

Just got back yesterday, best fest I ever been to fo sho man. Everyone had a blast at Cheese, they have the best atmosphere on the scene IMO. Lotus was just as amazing and the whole crowd was into it and goin nuts haha. Pretty Lights, Shponlge, and EOTO was on after the Dead, on the Fourth Of July! Can't beat US Blues with a full fireworks display. I don't know if youve listened to Shpongle or EOTO before, but their live sets lately are undeniably the most psychedelic music I have ever heard. I was drunk for the biscuits and the crowd became way too pushy up front for my tastes. Bisco never fails to bring out dirtbags. Good music, but I have a hard time getting into it unless I'm standing up front... Didnt see rebelution cuz it was too early hhaha You could find anything there, and I saw no bunk drugs or shit like that, just good to excellent quality stuff. Smoked some of the best bud of my life, the doses were really good, and we camped with people who had plenty of deamsters.
It was simply amazing. The Dead was awesome.. STI was amazing.. I really really really had the best freaking time with STS9!! Both sets. Wow. This was my first time there and I was in amazement with everything.. that sherwood forest was just so damn lovely. I really enjoyed Guster and Ani DiFranco quite a bit myself.. They were two of my favorites of the weekend. Just a wonderful time.. Couldn't have asked for things to be more perfect.. I was supposed to be in this scooter we rented but I was able to walk nearly the whole time.. Dance too! Ended up going super smooth. Perfect!
Agreed on Sherwood Forest, it distracted me so much Saturday night that I missed some of the Dead and most of Pretty Lights The colored, spotlights and cool artwork and the trees themselves in the midst of it all was too much to handle I guess haha Where did you guys camp at? I was in about the center of camp pike, so it wasn't too far of a walk and the portopots were at either end of the lane. We were the ones with the tiki torches a couple sites down from the big dome tent. People complained about the dust saturday and sunday and long distances to walk, but honestly they weren't really a problem, especially compared to All Good 08, were the sun is like five feet away and you are always walking up or down hill haha.
I was in the disability area. Right by the disability showers and stuff.. It was really nice.. Close to the shuttles we could take!! haha. I hate having to use the disability are but damn being able to is nice! Favorite thing about disability.. NO SEARCHES going into venue! *score* hehehe
About those searches, there was like two or three people doing the searches that were having a disturbingly real power trip the WHOLE weekend. I heard people talking about it, and what do you know, not five minutes after I buy a beautiful new bowl, I run into one of these people. She went through everything in my backpack, found the bowl, and tossed it in the trash But, we did manage to bring in a shit ton of alcohol haha. Nothing beats a camelbak full of wine, a large bottle full of whiskey and beer. Ahhh I just feel so much better after that weekend, it felt like giving my brain a shower
Oh dude, that sucks soo much! I have heard a lot of stories as well about people having trouble with those searches. It sounds like they were a pain in the ass. Yesss.. the beloved camelbak. I was so glad I picked one up for this fest. Used it quiteee a bit. Hehe, I feel ya. It was a weekend I have been needing for a longggg while. Looking forward to next year already!!
Yeah its cool tho, I should have seen that the lady was pissed and just picked a different line. Thankfully my buddy had bought a nice little sherlock for ten bucks that he wasn't trying to bring home in case he got pulled over so he gave it to me since he didn't want it. So at least I have a bowl now :] Rothbury was the fest of the year, and I hope it will be next year too I can't wait! Are you going to any other festies this year? I'm broke as a joke, so I'm probably just going to Philly folk fest and I might go to Harvest Fest in NY if I can afford it

I had no problems with security until the last day, fucker was rippin thru my pockets and threw away 6ish grams of dank, and said thank you enjoy your show. i was piissseedddd we had just bought like 6 blunt wraps to finish the day with. grr. no one else even stuck a hand in my pockets for the first 3 days Hope to see some of u guys this year! livelovelaugh&learn
