Can male marijuana plants produce female seeds?

    Hey dave your a bit off the beaten path here just post a new threat on what growing help ya want. If ya new to growing try read the sticky's past posts and the growers journals very helpful stuff.

    WTF? I thought you just went out and bought a lid, take some seeds from it then plant them in a coffee can. Put them out in the woods and wait 'til they grow. Pick the pods, dry them and smoke them. Grind up what is left of the plant and smoke it too. That's the way we did 'back in the day' anyway.

    All this science stuff for a joint? :p

    You can do it with a reverse male herme, but finding one would be rare, indoors or out. You can use a solution of silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate to make a female flower make male flowers, and polinate one of her sisters. The offspring are then all female as the pollen donar was female and could not contribute any male genetics, unless it is a Tai type, a herme, or has ressesive genetics such as a hereme that you will not see untill the cross is done. You are also going to need a bit of space to do this. Easier to get female seeds. Worth the investment.
