New York, without a doubt.

 

i haven't been to south bend in a minute, but a good friend lives there. i spent my first handful of years nearby in ft. wayne. from what i know, south bend is a shithole, but can't compare to ft. wayne...

 

Buffalo, NY is a contender.

 

ohio in general sucks but cleveland is awful

 

i disagree in terms of ohio in general. but cleveland does suck, the weather is fucking awful. and cincinatti is too conservative. columbus is boring, but a great place to live if you want most of the perks of a big city without most of the downfalls

there are some cool towns like yellow springs dayton area .. i live near cincinnati .. its getting less conservative and more ghetto lately .. as far as cities go columbus is the 'hippest'

the south bronx is neither a city nor a borough, so no.

 

Dallas isn't that bad. I'd even say Houston could be worse.
but both of those cities arn't as bad as the ultimate shit holes of 'merica.
