Well, in the absence of any group participation, I have decided to abandon the thread and release the answers to the first 4 cyrptic cross word clues.

I got all of those answers, however, I had nowhere to write them down

I was trying to take the Ian thing to a whole new dimension. I don't understand what this whole Ian thing is anyway, but nonetheless I felt compelled to expand upon it somehow.
