hey guys, im just starting off doing a bit of art work in my spare time, and would love some feedback on something i just drew..
okay, im glad you asked! I took a photo of this fish whilst scuba diving. its one of my favourites, called a Long-snouted boarfish. I then used the picture as the basis of my picture, and just used a permanent texta on an A4 piece of paper to draw and shade everything. Then i took a photo of my picture, and put it into photoshop and changed a few of the settings to make the black really black and the white really white (to get rid of the texta marks). Thanks for the comments.
just finished a new piece today. got the idea when i was going for a run yesterday, the person in the picture is me. i was listening to a song and imagining these two things either side of me, slightly behind me - doing certain bits of the lyrics. initially i was scared of the creatures, especially the robot thing, but once the bird joined in on the song, i started to see the fun side of it - which put the grin on my face.. and the colours in the background are a bit like the expressions of emotion too. let me konw what you think
nice work! always good when you create something unique without trying to. keep the creative fire burning!
wow man i love that. you have such a good balance of black and white in there. its great. if your just starting out youve got a lot of potential. p.s. before i saw your name when i saw this drawing i thought it looked australian. it kinda has that earthy feel to it. love it =]
Cheers for the props guys. That's cool how you thought it had an Australian feel to it. I've been pretty busy lately and havent had a chance to do anything new but uni holidays now so I might have a bit more time to see what I can do.
