Got layed off from work a few months back. Going back to school anyhow... Yay gov't grants

I work in the porn business... well, an online porn company to be exact... I watch people fuck all day and try to identify who they are for the search function on the sites the company runs. boring as hell and repetitive, but it pays decent for around here and good benefits.

 

How do you exactly get into that type of business?

 

I work at Hard Rock Cafe. Great co-workers, great bosses (a few anyway).
It's a pretty fun place to be, especially if you have tattoos and piercings and...dreads. Ha.
Except for the customers. They can suck it.

Customers, when you work in food service, are for the most part FUKT. I have a few I like; most of them I fantasize about killing.

God, I tell you what, pre-shifts are the best part of work. It's like a huge hang out session, aside from talking about what's going on that day.
And if it's a slow ass day (love the week, Monday's through Wednesday's), SO fun. My co-workers are the shit.
I have some awesome customers, but it's rare.
I work at the Nashville Hard Rock, big tourist spot. Never see the same face twice. Unless they're staying in town a night or two. And it's a great job to have that you can actually fuck with the customers and not get in trouble.

Big rant about work, haha.

^^ Nothing wrong with loving your job. You should be proud cuz not many people find something they enjoy that makes them money.

 

thats why i liked my bar job so much, it was mostly messing around.. dancing behind the bar, hugs all round, the customers were always up for a laugh :cheers2:

since I used to be in the goth scene (which overlaps with the fetish scene here in Charlotte) I had a lot of friends that worked here, that's how I learned about it... but to get into it? I just put in an application just like any other place.

 

you would think that until you actually see the movies I have to watch. Keep in mind I don't get to pick and choose what I watch.. I get a list of movies that need star functionality on them and I have to do each one, this includes the normal porn you'd like to see, the weird japanese porn, gay porn, tranny porn, and finally, the nasty german porn, so its not all fun and games, and even the normal porn gets boring and repetitive. I basically get the movies after they're broken down into scenes and all of the sexacts, settings and cumshots have been added for each scene as well as 5 thumbnail images for each scene. I get a list of stars that are associated with each movie (received from the actual production companies) Then I watch each scene and add each star in that scene, including a detailed description of how they look (ethnicity, hair color, hair length, hairstyle, eye color, mouth type, breast type, hips/ass, leg type, leg length, as well as any tattoos or piercings they may have... all added via an interface with drop-down menus) imagine doing that for each scene in each movie all day long and you can see how it gets boring and repetitive. On the plus side, I make 12.13 an hour, get medical and dental insurance, get to sit in A/C all day and get to work on a computer with dual flat-screen monitors and T1 internet access. I also work 4 10-hour shifts a week, so I get fridays, saturdays, and sundays off each week. Not to mention that, because the nature of the job, I can have piercings, tats, weird colored hair, etc. with no problems. I suppose its pretty decent. Would be happy with it if they didn't treat us like trained monkeys and didn't lay off 10-15% of the company every year or two.

 

That sounds like a decent job, I am all about benefits.

I am not into the whole porn thing and I am curious as to what the hell is nasty german porn?

I would get tired of doing that for sure but it seems ideal for the pay and benefits.
