Which is not a big or exciting thing. I suppose it is cool if your into Mangoes. But in 2 weeks come the Mango bombings. (Mango bombings = massive amounts of ripe mangoes falling off the trees and splatting on the ground) The Mango Bombings will bring all kinds of birds and snakes into the area all around and in the trees. There will be a sweet fermenting smell anywhere close to these trees. It is actually kind of nauseating. I think I have about 20 or 30 Mango trees around the farm. Suppose I will have to count them now. So I know the Mango bombings are coming...what am I going to do? Eat a fresh Mango and smoke a bowl. For in 2 weeks I will be sick of Mangoes until next years harvest.:cheers2:
Unfortunatly I cannot effectively export Mangoes from Belize to the USA. Too much paperwork and it is not cost effective or practical. Seeds I ship all over the world. Live produce is not my business. But if your kid was in Belize they could eat all they wanted and even gather several bushels of Mangoes to take with them.
You learn to hate mangoes after a while because of that. Keep you up at night if you have a tin roof.
Sounds like a perfect time to get snap shots at the wild surrounding you, but I bet that would be a bit dangerous.
Sometimes I have to remind myself I am lucky. It is usually because I am dealing with other shit that happens in Paradise. Here you go... The Jungle, Belize Central America. I get sick of Mangoes after a few weeks. We have to park the Jeep in a different area because of a tree. I intend to do just that.
im allergic to those now. but strangely, i can still have mango sorbet, which is really really delicious
I read the skin is worse than the pulp for allergies- more so the tree sap which can be on the skin so that makes sense. :cheers2:
I always peel the skin. I have never actually eaten it. What kind of allergic reaction would Mangoes give? Wounder if the kind of Mango matters? In 2 weeks I will not be allergic to them but the smell of them will make me sick.
similar to poison ivy and cashews. Sometime last year i thought my daughter was having a cashew reaction and was told to avoid mangoes and that a poison ivy reaction on her could be really severe.
Oh. I found a gold shirt that said mango at goodwill last weekend. .. ...found out there is a gay club named mango out here No lie.
Wow! Cashews really put several people in the hospital around here. Usually a US tourists who thinks you can eat cashews right off the tree. This is what happens when you are in the jungle to long. You start making threads about Mangoes.
yeah see its the oil from the tree/cashew fruit its all the same family - http://www.allergy-details.com/111-poison-ivy-allergy Most people are allergic to poison ivy/ oak so it makes sense they would react to the others- luckily found out my daughter was having a reaction to a certain type of grass- and she can go back to tying to eat her weight in mangos daily.lol
