I was wondering, does nudism has benefits, such a the melding of one with all as the barrier of clothing is lost, are nudists more at one, at peace, or notice a feeling of having 'perfected life' or a truer sense of self?

What is the holistic effect of abandoning clothing completely? What steps (if any) should be taken to reach a nude state? thank you, I would like to become one with nature and return without clothing to the forest where I live in solitude and total harmony with all things, but am having trouble getting started.

For me it's more comfortable to swim or sunbathe or have a sauna without clothes.

Absolutely agree with nldn. Whenever you can comfortably be naked in the sun seize that moment!!! The benefit is feeling at peace with yourself. It is not a sexual thing, it is a natural thing. It doesnt matter how or what you look like, just be nude an smile! Peace and Love

Over the weekend it was sunny and warm, but I couldn't go to the coast or any nudist place because of things I had to do near home. The only sunbathing I got (in a local park) had to be with shorts on. I realised how uncomfortable I find this now.

It would sound to me from the latter paragraph that you have an ideal lifestyle lined up: nudist, solitary life and a forest. You have it made!

Most people, if they could get themselves back down to grassroots level, would rightly kill to live that sort of lifestyle. I know of a few friends who have thrown away mega-well-paying careers in law, science and medicine to 'go bush', growing herbs and vegies for markets! And, all but one of these friends is a nudist but all live far from the city or even the nearest town, close to forests and hills. They've all learnt massage, yoga, meditation and how to 'let go' and remain at peace with their environment, as I learnt 20-odd years ago. The mere act of removing all your clothing and going about your daily existence nude puts you at one with nature: there is nothing else to learn. I do nude yoga and meditation, but of course nudity in itself isn't a yoga: it just adds a sensual, holistic natural oneness that does not resonate wearing clothes. Enjoy.

I so agree with this. Being naked in nature, in a simple, alternative lifestyle has always been a dream of mine, though I don't know much about it.

But yoga is something completely different, though I feel being naked may help. ;)
