I have had extreme cronic lower back pain resulting from a herniated disk. I live in Sacramento CA and am going to a medical marijuana Dr "Medicann". Now this is a real condition and I am on the pain medications Oxycontin 60mg a day, percocet 3 tabs daily and lidocaine patches for my back. I also take xanax for anxiety and medication for ADD. Does anyone know if this is reason enough to be allowed medical MJ? I mean has anyone else tried this route for cronic lower back pain. This is all documented through Drs and chiropractors I just don't want to drop $150 to see these guys if it's not worth my time and I lose the money. Any replies would be helpful thank you.
If it's herniated ,you need an operation. You're forestalling the inevitable and wasting time doing the pain pills and will probably have a rough time getting off them.I've been there, except for the pills.
I want to have surgury but after the workers comp thing is through in case I have to go to the Dr's I don't want to be totally healed yet
If you are in cali, you can pretty much tell a doctor that you have a headache and get a med card. If you have an actual condition it will be no problem at all... Find a doc who issues recs and go in, you'll walk out totally legal.
You will have no problems. I got my card about a month ago and it was the easiest thing. I walked in gave them my ID and money, said I am always anxious and I get sore joints and I got a recommendation for a year. All they need to hear from you basically is that you have a condition that they can't prove whether you actually really have (like anxiety or sore joints) and give them money. You actually do need this, so you will have no problems whatsoever.
I'm sure you will get medical mj. My uncle also has a herniated disc and never got surgery, but is doing well thanks to the medical benefits of mj. He doesn't use his prescription painkillers anymore, which is a very good thing. Keep it natural.
