Coz I'm going to do that! And I'm serious about it.I'm a lot into travels & adventures.I heard the temperature at South Pole in winter may drop to minus 90 degrees centigrade.I wanna experience it.I think I have to go there immediately before the winter starts & stay there for some 3 months until it's over coz I heard during winter it's not possible to move in or out of Antarctica. It's only a matter of time before I go.I want your opinions & suggestions on it.
haha way to cold for me became your plans somewhat more concret by now? but no doubt, it really must be an amazing experience...
umm, antartica is in the southern hemisphere, their summer is just starting not winter.. also,i doubt very seriously that a tourist could reserve winter accomodations there..
My brother and his wife are going to Antarctica for...I guess a honeymoon-type thing. I'd definitely do it just to experience it!
It sounds really cool and I actually know someone who went there to be a cook at a research station. He stayed for 6 months and never left their little dome/earth station where they were living. Basically, he said that you open the door to howling wind and blinding snow/cold. I think it would be one of those experiences that wasn't enjoyable but not regrettable. I'd try to get a job that sent you there because its $10's of thousands to make that trip happen on your own.
omg goodluck.. it would be a great experience... and when you go, u gota post pics ... if you throw boiling water in the air, it will freeze before it hits the ground
I was thinking about visiting Antarctica, but 1) I was about to go around wintertime and it is WAY too cold. 2) No transport going there, except for some military ships if you can find them and if they want to take you. Good luck.
