Skrying: Have you tried? What happened? Did you use the 5 step method? Do you know of other methods? Thanks, I want to try this and I'm looking for some advice Dan
Okay, yes, I've scryed... And I'm a sort of DIY occultist, so I have no clue what you mean by the 5 step method... but I'll share my experience. I made my own black mirror. I used a picture frame, and some black spraypaint. I'd tryed water and oil in black and indigo bowls, but it never worked for me, and I've never had the opportunity to use a crystal ball. This is an article I wrote on my really small occult website: http://www.angelfire.com/scryglass/vision/scrying.htm Anyways,I put it on an altar, charged it with just plain old willpower, and then stared into it and relaxed into a trance. I didn't try to look for anything in particular or really find anything out, I just tried to let something come to me that would be helpful. After probably 10 minutes, with all the colors dancing in my eyes from being in a light trance, I got a STRONG urge to close my eyes. I let them close, and they rolled back and I went into a kind of REM state. From there, I got a vivid dreamlike vision of a crumbling viny temple in the twilight, and a white knight riding by, swinging a sword by a huge tree in a graveyard behind the temple. Suddenly, I felt more like I was a human in the vision instead of just a perspective, and I was now clinging to a root sticking out the side of a cliff for my life. I was starting to slip, and then the root ripped through the ground-- upwards. I was catapulted up onto the top of the cliff and to safety, and when I hit the ground I saw that the roots had moved because their tree had fallen, and that that tree was the same huge tree by the temple, except fallen and burning, and I saw the knight riding away. Then it was just me with my eyes closed in front of my 6 inch black mirror. Just for your personal interest, I've never used any drugs, psychadelic or otherwise. I do minimal meditation, and practiced astral projection about 4 years ago with some heavy focus on seeing auras, but I haven't done any of that recently. The scrying mirror has given me other experiences, but I won't bother you with those. Just relax, stare into the mirror, and will for something important to come to you. Do what feels natural, don't worry about blinking, and take what you see to heart. If you want pictures of my setup, I can get them to you.
Thanks for all the good info, I have all of my life been a practical rationalist. With that said I beginning to get into the spiritual/occult. Not that I don't know anything about the occult, I do. Just never taken part in it. Please send the info to dudemr48@yahoo.com Again Thank a Ton Dan
Hey, well, as far as divinatory practices go, scrying is great for rationalists and skeptics, because it can easily be explained in terms of the subconscious mind. So instead of messages or the future, you can see your own head symbolically, and make positive change from there. It's a win-win situation.
dear friends, Have you heard of Haazirat (jinn conjuring via mirror). This is a popular method in Indian subcontinent for black mirror scrying. In this method you need a black mirror, the mirror ritual and a child below age 12. When the child sees in the black mirror the person having the ritual recites it and after some time the child is able to see in the mirror can answer the questions asked by the person.
